The Ghost Patrol reinforces their ectoplasm!

Here's another fine DC back-up story, The Ghost Patrol in "The Hammer Man," from Flash Comics #99. It's drawn by Carmine Infantino and Bernard Sachs.

I've never understood why "The Ghost Patrol" wasn't continued into the 1960's and 1970's as part of the war comics that DC continued to publish.

A great feature, a great post and one that could stand to be revived.

Beautiful little tale. Not so much the story, which was inane, as the telling, which was a pure delight. Infantino really outdoes himself with the panel at the bottom of page 6 (with the suits of armor bowling the thugs over) and the top two on page 7. I could see each of these panels turned into covers without much effort.

Yeah, really nice artwork... I probably liked the other Ghost Patrol adventure you posted better but this one was still totally fun, especially the ridiculous bad guy with a hammer fetish. Ya know, if he was so into hammers why didn't he get hammered the second he got outta jail at some dive bar? Ah, wasted opps...

Mr. Infantino was clearly at the top of his game with this one. Beautiful storytelling.
